People of a certain age will be very familiar with the heart of the 90s Josh Hartnettwho firmly dominated our screens and teenage magazines until he suddenly disappeared from the spotlight in the mid-2000s.
But as his star power grew, Josh began to turn down big Hollywood blockbusters in favor of smaller indie projects. Notably, the star turned down the role of Superman twice, as he instead opted to work in lesser-known films that allowed him to stay away from media attention and fanfare.
And Josh elaborated on this in a new interview with the Guardian Observer magazine – where he also shared a troubling anecdote from the height of his fame.
She then detailed a terrifying incident when a random man showed up at one of her movie premieres with a gun and claimed to be her father. Josh was 27 at the time.
In recent years, Josh has chosen to appear in the most prominent films to work with esteemed directors, which is why he agreed to a small role in Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster. Oppenheimerwhich was released last year.
And that’s why he also took the main role in the upcoming film of M. Night Shyamalan, trapwith Josh admitting that he had hoped to work with the director since their first meeting in 2004.
